After collecting 34 soil samples from various crop planting fields in many provinces in China, more than 200000 strains were screened by "Enrichment Plate High-throughput Method". 

Finally, 206 strains with silicon dissolving function were selected. At the same time, 206 strains were tested for safety (hemolysis) and tolerance to antibiotics The strain MB35-5 with excellent comprehensive performance was selected through further screening of high temperature, salt tolerance, acid and alkali resistance, sporulation rate, aerobic condition and pot culture activity

The High Tech Industrialization Research Association thinks that the project achievement has reached the international leading level in terms of screening technology and evaluation method of high-efficiency silicon decomposing strains, as well as the silicon removal efficiency of the product, and has passed the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements.
