MBT PULI-NANO (MBT SUS) helps restore trees after disasters
On September 6th, Super Typhoon Yagi landed in Hainan, which caused great losses to local agricultural production. In the face of severe disaster, adopting correct field management methods can speed up crop recovery and avoid further losses. For agricultural production, how to manage the field after the typhoon?
1.Proper drainage
Flooding will lead to the decrease of soil aeration and rhizosphere oxygen content. It not only reduces the ability of soil organic matter decomposition and conversion into nutrients, but also inhibits root respiration and root growth. If root growth is inhibited for a long time, it will cause cell necrosis and apoptosis, showing the symptoms of dark brown root rot, commonly known as root retting. Therefore, after the typhoon, it is necessary to drain waterlogging in time, clean up the water in the field, and increase the air permeability, light transmission and ventilation of the soil.
2.Straighten the tree
Affected by the strong typhoon, a large number of fruit trees toppled and their roots were seriously damaged. Therefore, first of all, we should straighten the fallen fruit trees and support them to prevent them from falling again. In the straighten process, cracked branches and badly damaged fruit are removed. For fruit trees with heavy root damage, some or all of the fruit can be removed according to the specific situation. Remove some or most of the branches and leaves to reduce water loss and prevent the tree from dying.
3.Supplement in time
Affected by the long-term rainstorm, the soil nutrients in the field are lost in large quantities and cannot provide enough nutrients for the plants. Therefore, the choice of fertilizer is mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer + medium element fertilizer + organic fertilizer. Monband® MBT PULI-NANO(3~5 kg/ mu) + Monband® GenMeng® (0.9~1.8 kg/ mu) can be applied, and Monband® Kunka® (4~6 kg/ mu) can be applied after 3 days. Provide nutrients for fruit trees, accelerate the development of new roots, and promote tree recovery. At the same time, improve the soil fertility capacity, reduce nutrient loss, improve fertilizer utilization.
