Reasons for Shine-Muscat's difficulty with sugar

Why is it difficult to get sugar on Shine-Muscat? There are no more than three reasons: [1] High yield and large grains. [2]Strong tree. [3]Irrational nutrient distribution ratio. As long as the above problems are solved, Shine-Muscat sugar can be easily solved.

1. High yield and large grains

Reason:

Shine-Muscat's high yield and large grain size can directly lead to insufficient photosynthesis products for the crop.Shine-Muscat is not able to get to sugar fast enough. With weak trees, Shine-Muscat is highly susceptible to the formation of waterpot disease.

Solution:

[1] Monband® fertiliser product is used. It favours the improvement of photosynthesis in Shine-Muscat. Increase the accumulation of sugar.

[2] Nitrogen fertiliser is partially replaced with amino acids to reduce sugar consumption.

[3] For Shine-Muscat with weak trees, Monband® Tree Strengthening Programme is used first to improve the tree strength. For Shine-Muscat with too high yield, adopt the fruit-for-sugar method.

2.Strong tree

Reason:

The tree is strong, which causes Shine-Muscat to favour nutritive growth. On the one hand, this results in wasted nutrients and sugar not going to the fruit. On the other hand, it causes Shine-Muscat to be green and late ripening.

Solution:

Tree vigor is mainly related to excessive nitrogen fertiliser. Therefore, we need to control the amount of nitrogen fertiliser. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilisers should be applied reasonably to regulate tree strength. For strong prosperous trees, it can be used together with regulators that promote ripening, such as aminopyralid, which can effectively promote the metabolism of nitrogen fertiliser.

3.Irrational nutrient distribution ratio

Reason:

Nutrient ratios were not reasonable, and Shine-Muscat did not take tree strength into account at maturity. Excessive use of nitrogen fertiliser and no attention to the use of phosphorus and potassium fertiliser. This will cause Shine-Muscat to be green and late maturing, and late on sugar.

Solution:

Shine-Muscat has different nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium requirements for each fertility stage. We need to formulate different nutrient ratios according to the fertility stage. This will better promote Shine-Muscat to sugar.

MONBAND MBT PULI-NANO Liquid is recommended in poor soil conditions to enhance cation exchange capacity, and soil fertility. The presence of active humic extracts (long chain) in our formula has a positive effect on the uptake on all nutrients. Furthermore, it increases Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and reduces leaching.
