Monband® MBT for citrus fruit expansion and growth promotion

In July, citrus in Guangxi, China, enters the period of rapid fruit expansion and late summer tip growth.July-August is the period of the year when fruit trees have the greatest demand for nutrients. It is also a critical period for fruit expansion, late summer tip and autumn tip growth. This year's precipitation is more than the same period in previous years. The field is holding a lot of water and not enough light. This can lead to widespread root rot and composting in the field.

To replenish the tree nutrients and strengthen the tree, it is recommended to apply mineral-based root-breeding and root-nourishing fertilisers and organic and inorganic fertilisers, in combination with Monband®Da Tong products. Try to speed up fruit expansion. It will reduce the incidence of smaller fruits and delayed colouring later in the season.

1. Spreading or burying

Recommended application is MBT PULI-KE product, organic and inorganic compound fertiliser. The dosage is 2-3kg/plant. The dosage can be increased or decreased according to the amount of fruit hanging on the fruit tree.

It helps to keep the leaves oily and green, and the fertiliser is long-lasting without stripping off the fertiliser.

2. Water and fertiliser management

Continuous precipitation is damaging to the root system of fruit trees. It is recommended to apply MBT PULI-NANO+Monband®Da Tong, a balanced programme, which is beneficial to the development of new roots and maintenance of the root system. Supplement the nutrients needed for fruit expansion.

3. Fruit thinning and late summer tip

This year, the fruit trees do not have a lot of fruit on the whole. This is conducive to late fruit thinning. For some of the parks with a large amount of fruits, you can thin out the flowers and fruits, diseased fruits and small fruits in batches. This is conducive to late dosing.

4. Fruit thinning, summer pruning and put a combination of slight

On the one hand, it is conducive to the preparation of the mother branch for next year's fruits, to avoid causing the size of the year. Late summer tips should not be too much, the upper part of the crown evenly dispersed better. On the other hand, the late summer tips are good for shading. Reduce the occurrence of sun fruit.
