Beans are an annual climbing plant belonging to the genus Vigna in the Fabaceae family. They are cultivated in both tropical and temperate regions. As a heat-tolerant vegetable, beans are resistant to high temperatures but not frost. They prefer deep, fertile sandy loam.

Soil requirements before beans cultivation:
